Beaufort County Republican Party Advisory Council

Chairman, Jim Riordan, has established an advisory Council of the Officers of the County Party and the presidents of the Republican Clubs.

The purpose of the Advisory Council is to coordinate actions and events and establish cooperation and enhance communication among the groups and with the County Party.

The group met on May 13, 2015.

All Clubs and the County Republican Party were represented at this meeting with the exception of the Greater Bluffton Republican Club.

Discussion centered on the following:

• Develop coordination and processes for handling Presidential Candidate visits among the various Clubs and the Beaufort County Republican Party. Richard Geraghty was selected as the official point of contact to reach out to and deal with candidate offices to organize candidate visits.

• Media involvement was discussed and this will be coordinated between Richard Geraghty and Terry Wade, Chairman of the PR Committee, for the Beaufort County Republican Party.

• Jim Riordan will send a note to all of Beaufort County state house representatives and let them know what we are doing on accommodating campaigns.

• The County PR Committee has begun to address three areas:

1. Develop a media/press kit which would cover all Club Presidents, Moderator and County Party officers.
