Independence Day – July 4, 2016

US Flag

Red Skelton was a man who understood what it means to be an American and gives us a much needed reminder of the significance of the pledge of allegiance.

Red is gone. We have added two states and the words “under God” since then. Too many have forgotten the pledge. Regrettably some even reject it. But it remains an affirmation of what it means to be an American.

On this day it is good to be reminded.
